Hintze belt enables safer work
Oct 01, 2013 - Press Release
In recent months, several project sites in New York have begun using a new utility belt which was designed by one of our workers at the Second Avenue Tunnel project.
The Hintze belt was designed to provide ease of access to required equipment such as screwdrivers, spools of wire and pliers, while keeping workers safe from common hazards other belts cause.
The Hintze belt straps to your thigh, taking the weight of the belt and hardware off your hips while keeping tools and tie wire away from your arms. The design of the belt also allows for correct use of most safety harnesses.
Another key component of the Hintze belt is how easy it is for workers to install new wire when working in the air. "When construction workers climb rebar walls, they use harnesses and lanyards and postining devices - it's almost like repelling down a cliff," said Mike Ceglio, safetly engineer with the USA Civil. "The Hintze belt makes it safer for workers to install new wire when they are tied off to a wall. This is mostly due to the belt's location to the safety harness straps."
Worker safety concerns, limited tool/gear visibility, lumbar strain. These problems have been endured by people who wear a waist-secured tool belt for any job. That was until The Hintzebelt was created to increase safety and efficiency while tying rebar. The Hintzebelt was designed to keep wire reels easily accessible to its wearer without compromising the effectiveness of a safety harness. Now, Hintze Belts, Inc. has created several tool belts that have revolutionized how tool belts are worn.
Focusing on maximum safety and comfort, all Hintze Belts strap to the thigh, eliminating the lumbar stress and discomfort caused by the traditional tool belt. With their innovative design, Hintze Belts keep tools tight to the body and conveniently within hands' reach.
Whether working in the field or at home, the convenience and comfort of all Hintze Belts toolbelts help make the day a little safer and easier. Hintze Belts, Inc. prides itself on the quality of all of its products...made WITH PRIDE 100% in the USA.
