Scott Tarr, PE FACI, is a Consulting Engineer and President of North S.Tarr Concrete Consulting, P.C. Over the past 25 years, Scott was a Partner with Concrete Engineering Specialists (CES), a Principal Structural Evaluation Engineer for CTLGroup, and earned BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering. With PE licenses in multiple states, his primary expertise is in design, construction, and repair of concrete slabs on ground (interior and exterior) and evaluating flooring failures throughout the United States and internationally. As a Fellow of The American Concrete Institute (ACI), he serves on several committees including 301, Structural Concrete Specifications, 302, Construction of Concrete Floors, 360, Design of Slabs on Ground, and 330 Concrete Parking Lots. In addition to ACI, Scott is a member of The International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), and is an instructor for the Concrete Slab Moisture Testing Certification Program. He is also a member of The American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and The American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) and has more than 50 publications including the book Concrete Floors on Ground for the Portland Cement Association. He has also given more than 100 seminars and has been a regular seminar speaker at the World of Concrete for the past 10 years.
